Heroes 3 HD is pretty much useless without the expansions. I suggest you installing Heroes 3 Complete (which includes the original game plus all the official expansions) with the HD mod, this way you'll get a lot small interface features that can save you a lot of time as well as nice resolution, of course. Then you can play all the expansion
