In this video I explain how to diagnose a faulty crankshaft sensor on a Citroën C4, trouble code P1694. The code description does not forward you in to the sensor direction, but when looking at the live data, it becomes obviously the no signal from the sensor.
Your diagrams show that the 200bhp engine has two camshaft position sensors. I've got the 156THP engine and it's easy to see one sensor on top of the timing case. If there's a second one I can't see it. The connector plug to the sensor was certainly at a skewed angle before due to the incorrectly fitted part so perhaps that was the problem.
Hello, I had the very same thing happen to me. My problem turned out to be coil pack and new plugs for misfire. The fan always running was a leak at the water temperature sensor but was leaking into the plug on top which made the fans run all the time.
With the engine running, the PCM constantly compares input signals from the CKP and CMP sensors. If CKP input signal voltage is lower than expected under certain circumstances, a P0337 code will be stored and a MIL may be illuminated. Other crankshaft position sensor trouble codes include P0335, P0336, P0338, and P0339. Joined: Sep 21 2010. Location: Merseyside. Hi, took my car to Dealer 1, for Diagnostic, they found three faults. 1) Engine speed sensor, not working/missing (permanent) 2) EGR valve sticking, lumpy when idling (temporary) 3) Two different readings from brake switch (temporary) My question is, I bought the sensor while I was there and they told

Citroen C4 - Anti Theft / Engine won't crank. My partner inherited a bit of an untidy Citroen C4, 1.6 diesel 08. No problems for the first two months, then when my partner was away for the weekend she was under the impression that the battery was flat as it wouldn't start. She tried jump leads, but that didn't work, but a friendly person with
If your engine has only one CMP, such as an inline-four-cylinder, the only CMP code available is for Bank 1, P0341. On the other hand, V6 or V8 engines have two banks, Bank 1 and Bank 2, and would therefore have two CMPs, so DTC P0346 would refer to Bank 2. Sensor A indicates that the malfunction is occurring with the camshaft position sensor
